The wait is over. Our friends FACE THE KING’s new single, “The Sea,” is now available for download on their official website and Bandcamp for a $1.00 minimum, as well as giving YOU the chance to donate beyond –
“Whatever you think we deserve in order to help us continue as a band,” wrote FACE THE KING in a letter to fans, “This is our proudest release to date and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of your support. However – being in a band is not always what most people think. We’re doing this all on our own right now, working ourselves to the bone in a brutal industry to be paid little to nothing. We hope to use the proceedings for our next record, new merch and for when we hit the road this summer for Warped Tour and additional dates – but none of that can happen without your help. So we sincerely thank you all in advance for helping to keep our lifelong dream alive.”

About FACE THE KING
Face The King is Eric Zirlinger (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Dan DelVecchio (lead guitar, keyboards, backup vocals), Joey Dammacco (bass, synth, backup vocals), and Randy Palumbo (drums, percussion). Their second EP, “The Burning & The Falling Down,” produced by Steve Haigler (Brand New, The Pixies, Fuel) had received critical praise and glowing reviews in print, on the web, and local/out of state radio. Their additional success with the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands has also put them on the map, making them three time winners – with their first appearances at the Rockstar UPROAR Festival and Vans Warped Tour during the summer of 2012 (w/Staind, Shinedown, Godsmack, New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Juliet Simms, & more), and a second Vans Warped Tour appearance during the summer of 2013 for their hometown crowd at Nassau Coliseum. With the help of their continuously growing loyal fanbase, Face The King was proudly pronounced the “Best Band of Long Island,” by the Long Island Press Magazine by the beginning of 2013. Most recently, they have been selected by Ernie Ball as one of the Top 4 finalists out of over 20,000 competitors nationwide to compete for the grand prize in Los Angeles, California.
With their newly released preview EP The Sound, already receiving high praise in anticipation for their full length album, Face The King is touring the New York tri-state area – recently with a packed headlining show at Gramercy Theatre as well as a major anti-bullying campaign set in motion. The new EP has been said to bring Face The King’s music to new heights, giving a more clearly defined vision of what they’re all about – encouraging listeners to ‘listen to their heart,’ and uniting people of all different walks of life through the power of music.
Believing that the live show is an experience that is shared between the band and the audience, Face The King is earning a reputation as a band you need to experience live. Face The King is not waiting for a label to hand them a deal – they are earning it the way it was meant to be earned: by hitting the road and making new fans.
“The Sound EP is as apt a title as one can get when naming an album, for the ideal scenario would be to experience this music in a live setting. While a $5.00 pair of plastic earbuds wouldn’t quite to do them justice, what matters is that you take the time and give Face The King a listen. Your ears and your heart will thank you.” — Adrian, Hobsnobbery
“The Sound EP is a meticulously recorded four song record that plays great start to finish.” — Justin Sarachik, The Staten Island Band Guy
“The SOUND definitely leaves hope for what lies ahead. Face The King is ascending towards prominence with the tone they’ve set so far.” — John Hyland, THAT MAG
