Gotham Rocks Showcase at Brighton Bar in Long Branch, NJ
On June 8th, 2012 the Gotham Rocks Tour rolled into the Jersey shore and stopped in at Brighton Bar in Long Branch, NJ. In addition to the NYC-based touring bands, Charetta and Ghosts of Eden, this lineup was packed with talented, up and coming bands.
Opening the show was the NJ based band, A life Thereafter. With a style similar to some of their influences Silverstein, Thrice, All Time Low and Four Year Strong, the band features strong musicianship with good guitar work. http://www.reverbnation.com/alifethereafter
.Next up was another great New Jersey based band, A Criminal Risk. Featuring great songwriting in a rock, yet punk, yet pop package, A Criminal Risk put on an engaging and earnest live show. http://www.facebook.com/pages/A-Criminal-Risk/183899938707
.New York City’s own, Ghosts Of Eden rocked the house with their particular style of heavy grunge-pop. The New Jersey crowd appreciated GOE’s combination of Breaking Benjamin meets Bruce Springsteen as they rocked the house in pro form. http://www.reverbnation.com/ghostsofeden
.The Philadelphia/Southern NJ hometown heroes, Dive came next. With fantastic songwriting, great playing, touring experience, and led by awesome vocals, Dive has deserved their success to this point playing shows as big as the mainstage at Giants Stadium, opening for Bon Jovi. We interviewed Dive a couple of years back, before playing one of the NYC Gotham Rocks shows check it out HERE

.Charetta is another very talented NYC-based touring band that joined the Gotham Rocks tour. Led by the kick-ass front woman, Angelina Delcarmen, Charetta combines soaring and scathing vocals with dark, heavy riffing and grooves that evoke comparisons to modern rock bands such as Lacuna Coil and Chevelle. www.charetta.com
.Closing out the Gotham Rocks Showcase in NJ was Sick Of Silence. A heavier and enigmatic entry into the Gotham Rocks fold, these guys brought a post core punk, melodic rock/metal show to the stage. High energy and aggressive, Sick of Silence is led by a strong frontman and anchored by great musicians.
No music here but you can follow the band: http://www.reverbnation.com/sickofsilencemusic
