Gotham Rocks Showcase at KC’s Tap in Pawtucket, RI
One of the great things about these Gotham Rocks Showcases is the consistent quality of the bands and their live shows. But what might be the best part of Gotham Rocks shows is the community of talented and hardworking musicians, and the friends, fans and rockers that come out to support these bands on their way up. If you love hard rock, then Gotham Rocks is the community for you.
The tour stopped at KC’s Tap in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on June 4th and for those who came out on a rainy Monday night to this great rock venue, they got to see a great show to go with it, including several good regional bands and two of NYC’s best touring modern rock bands.
Closing the show was Charetta– the New York City based touring band with a hot, powerhouse female vocalist, Angelina Delcarmen pouring out her heart through their dark, heavy, melodic grooves. With a high energy and polished stage show, Charetta brings a seasoned feel to every show they play and invokes comparisons to Evanescence, Alanis Morrissette, Chevelle and Lacuna Coil. www.charetta.com
Before Charetta was the Framingham, MA based metal band V. V features awesome vocals from Nikki Lust and a great, entertaining stage show from the rest of the band, Nikki Sinn, Nikki Dark, and Nikki Blood. This melodic metal horror show band features talented, experienced musicians and a riveting image to go with it. www.wearev.net
.Ghosts Of Eden is one of NYC’s top touring bands and joined the tour not long after having sold out their headlining show at Gramercy Theater in New York. The self proclaimed “velvet grunge” band has great songwriting and an exciting, high-energy live show led by front man Tom Pino that consistently wins over crowds whether they know their music or not. We’ve said it before and its still true, Ghosts of Eden sounds like the love child of Breaking Benjamin and Bruce Springsteen. Yeah Motherfucker!
.Playing before Ghosts of Eden was a brand new band, The Life Electric who released their debut album in May of 2012. Melodic and solid in their rock songwriting, their music features strong backing vocals and multiple part harmonies, with uplifting choruses and good guitar work. We will look forward to seeing what these guys do going forward… http://www.facebook.com/thelifeelectric
.Opening the Gotham Rocks Showcase was Far Above The Ground from Marshfield, MA – a good young pop rock band with influences that include The Replacements, Lit, Husker du, Social distortion, Goo goo dolls, and the gin blossoms. http://www.reverbnation.com/farabovetheground
