Gotham Rocks Tour: Lansing, MI
The last stop on the June leg of the 2012 Gotham Rocks tour was in Lansing, Michigan at The Loft.
While not one of the biggest shows on the tour, this was definitely one of the most fun, with 3 touring bands, The August Infinity, Scarlet Carson and Another Lost Year, cutting loose on their last show of the Midwest leg of Gotham Rocks. Just watch this video, and check out the pics at the bottom of the post and you will get a little hint of the fun we had:
The August Infinity’s energy at this show was off the charts. Its good to see one of NYC’s hottest modern rock bands come into their own as The August Infinity did this night in Lansing. Led by an amazing performance by front man, Joshua Hawksley, and bolstered by a great show from Peter, Chris and Ian, TAI features great songwriting, melodies, aggression and a live show, all wrapped up into something that feels fresh and new. The August Infinity is not cookie cutter. www.theaugustinfinity.com

Scarlet Carson is one of Dirty Jersey’s finest. Great musicianship and songwriting meets performance and look. Santino Noir’s vocals combine some of the wailing rock vocals of the 80s and 90s with more contemporary rhythms and touches of modern metal. Their performance in Lansing was awesome and not one to miss.. www.scarletcarson.com

The touring band Another Lost Year is from North Carolina and a standout, young band. Great songwriters and musicians, this band channels Creed (without the egos) and modern musical twists and influence. Hard rock meets stadium-rocking anthems and a great voice. www.anotherlostyear.com Watch for these guys in a town near you soon and check out their video for War On The Inside here:

Eph Eye is a high intensity rap-rock band that mixes elements of hip-hop and metal. Energy levels occasionally spike to insane levels for Eph Eye’s live show, you are warned! Tight musicianship and honest music make this Michigan based band an entertaining, up and coming act. http://www.reverbnation.com/epheye

Your Favorite Saturday is a good new emo-core band with solid musicianship, vocals that range from melodic to screamo and is anchored by awesome and entertaining drumming. Check out Your Favorite Saturday here: http://www.reverbnation.com/yourfavoritesaturday
.
Tyrant: Comprised of several 16-year-olds and an accomplished 14-year-old drummer, Tyrant shows a thrash metal upbringing on a diet of Slayer. This young Lansing band has oodles of potential. Watch them as they grow… http://www.reverbnation.com/tyrantmetalmusic

Sense and Satire is a good, young metal core band with solid musicianship and good live energy from Lansing, MI. Check them out on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/senseandsatire

AND FINALLY, a few pics of the awesomeness that ensued towards the end of the night for all those who missed it.. Look forward to bringing some of these midwest bands back to NYC and more touring in the fall of 2012!!
